Mission

We teach the simplicity behind the science of nutrition through recipes, health articles, and a private coaching practice. We are dedicated to helping people feel and look their best, uncovering the pillars of health – food, exercise, sleep, and community. We use proven science-based research to help our community implement strategies towards improved health. Our coaching philosophy is based on a macronutrient-dense diet and uses this framework to help clients learn long-term strategies towards health and wellness.

Goals

Along with diet and exercise, we also helps clients become more aware of their mind-body state and the impact it has on their emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Our areas of coaching are completely personalized to help you feel your best and achieve wellness; uncovering the pillars of health – food, exercise, sleep, and community. We work with clients on both outcome based goals and behavior goals; whether that be finding balance, autoimmune conditions, weight loss, muscle gain, or improving your relationship with food itself – we can help you. Coaching includes:

01.

One-on-one support with an initial consultation, in-depth onboard form and planning phase. We will get to know you and your goals like you are our best friend.

02.

Goal setting phase to help you identify both outcome-based and behavior goals. You have the car, we’ll give you the roadmap to get to where you’re going.

03.

Customized Nutrition Plan and cloud-based spreadsheet to work closely with your coach to track your progress. No we don’t spy on you, and yes, we care that much.

04.

Weekly follow-up appointments to assess results and identify obstacles. Think of this as a cross between a doctor’s visit and a weekly call with your mother.

Our Clients

Our clients are students, athletes, moms, first responders and people just like you. Our approach is rooted in the foundation that a proper prescription is based upon each unique individual, and not a template of information based on your weight alone. (You’re more than a number after all). Our clients have hired us to be their coach, counselor, nutritionist, consultant, trainer and mentor to help them with a plethora of goals. Clients have worked to heal themselves improving a vast number of ailments including eating disorders, crohn’s disease, and PCOS. ANTHONY’s Journey

Before working with Sara, I had stuck to the traditional Paleo, eat clean, thought process around nutrition. I was attempting to train hard, run a business, and have some semblance of a personal life, but none of it was going well because I felt drained and beat up all the time. I didn’t realize I had been severely under-eating for the amount of work I was doing day-in and day-out. Within a few weeks of Sara dialing in my macros, explaining some better food options, and inspiring me with her badass Instagram posts about delicious and healthy meals, I was sleeping better, recovering faster from training, and hitting PR’s on workouts and lifts! Everyone needs a coach, and Sara has done an incredible job coaching me back into a healthy place.

NIKOLL’s Journey

I am a former collegiate athlete and current healthcare professional, so health and fitness have been a part of my daily life for as long as I can remember. For years, even when competing as a swimmer, it has been a struggle to find an eating program I can live with and stick to. A month ago I started flex dieting with Sara as my guide and inspiration. Working full time and with a 4 month old at home, I need a program that can change as quickly as my day does. In the first month alone, I have been able to eat funfetti cupcakes, drink beer AND still lose 10 lbs!! I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to Sara for introducing me to the concept of flex dieting which allows me to live a normal but healthy lifestyle.

Ronelle’s Journey

In 2016, I decided it was time to look at my food choices and nutrition after trying every "fad" diet that's out there and not seeing any results. We started by looking at macros, which I had never heard of before, and the types of foods that would help me meet those goals. I started to see results and feel better about myself just by following the numbers Sara gave me. However, it wasn't just about Sara providing numbers, it was about her using her extensive knowledge and experience of food, supplements, what our body is trying to tell us it needs, and how to adapt your body to those changes. I later enlisted personal training with Sara, after having several injuries. For the first year, I had a lot of setbacks, and eventually got to place I had never been before, over 210 pounds. I decided "enough was enough" worked with Sara every week on how to hit my macro goals. Over a few short months, I started to see significant weight loss, 10, 20, 30, and a year later a total of 75 pounds. I now weigh less than I did in High School. I have never made a better decision, of not just losing weight, but changing my lifestyle. Sara and I both look back and talk about it how I could not do a squat even close to parallel, afraid to do a box jump, and did not have the flexibility for a kip swing; basically was starting from scratch after being an avid Track and Field athlete and Water Polo player in High School and College. I never want to go back to where I was, only to look at it and say I can't believe how far I've come. I could not have done any of this without Sara and all of her experience and knowledge. She isn't just a nutrition coach; she is a personal trainer, life coach, teacher, mom, listener, and most of all has become a close friend of mine.

Nadelle’s Journey

As a lifelong athlete, of course I knew how to lose weight after my second baby. It was simple: less in, more out. So, for months, while breastfeeding, I tracked my 1,200 calories habitually and exercised regularly. After losing a little weight, I settled in to what I thought was my mid-30s, postpartum mom bod for life.

I’m so glad I had it all wrong. I didn’t hate my body. I respected it for growing two humans, but seeing what Sara was doing other athletes made me slightly envious. They were eating DONUTS and still showing off their six packs. Despite my curiosity, I STILL didn’t think the macro approach was going to work for me because I was a 15-year vegetarian and a 5-year vegan. There was no way she was going to get it, want to work with it, or understand it. Wrong again.

When I finally stopped holding myself back and asked Sara to be my nutrition coach, everything seemed to change for me. I hit my macros every single day for 15 weeks and I lost over 10% of my body weight, but without losing strength.
While Sara’s nutritional knowledge is abundant and thorough, where she excels is as a coach. Do you want to talk about protein? She can do that. Do you want to talk recovery? She can do that. Do you want to talk about why you have a weird relationship with food? She does that even better. She meets you where you are as a human and guides you to achieve your goals— in the gym, in the kitchen, or in the mom wrestling ring— she is there to teach you all the Jedi mind tricks and practical strategies you need to manipulate your food to manipulate your body.
